Fancy spending your summer break in 2012 working at the ‘greatest show on earth’? Employers working for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games will soon be recruiting thousands of team members for short term jobs in retail, catering, hospitality, security and other support services.
At Games time, London will be welcoming visitors from all over the world and the contractor workforce will be on the front line ensuring that everyone, whether they are athletes, officials or spectators, has a world class experience. Employers will be looking for individuals with outstanding people skills who can deliver a consistently excellent customer experience in a fast moving and demanding live event environment.
Games time jobs will typically last from 4-9 weeks. Individuals wishing to work at Games time will be required to undergo a security check, for which a valid passport or photocard driving license will be required and any work permits or visas will need to be valid until the 8th November 2012.
Summer 2012 may seem a long way off, but recruitment for contractors’ Games time jobs has already started. Cleaning, Catering and Waste
The Catering, Cleaning and Waste division are looking for a number of Assistant Venue Managers to join our team from May 2012 onwards. The roles are to assist in the contract management of the catering, cleaning and waste contractors at up to 40 venues, to ensure delivery of the ultimate games time customer experience.
