      Relays in the South West

RELAYS (Regional Educational Legacy in Arts and Youth Sport) is an innovative and ambitious project led by Universities South West and delivered through universities and cultural organisations in the South West of England. RELAYS focuses on three main areas — sport, culture and business. You can find out more about these strands on the RELAYS website.

RELAYS staff and volunteers organise events and work with partners to support a variety of exciting sports and arts festivals and activities. They also work with businesses in the South West to help them realise the potential that 2012 can bring.

If you are at university in the South West it’s likely that your university is already a part of RELAYS. Partners include 11 of the region’s universities, the Association of Colleges (AoC), The Works Cornwall, Lyme Regis Development Trust, Watershed, the Eden Project and South West Screen.

RELAYS events are supported by a network of volunteers, many of whom are students from partner universities. These volunteers have a lead role in planning, co-ordinating and running events around the region.

If you are interested in getting involved with RELAYS visit the organisation’s volunteering page or contact a staff member at your university or in your area.
